I went to the sprint store to pick up a new phone. Dropped a couple hundred on the new phone, walked out the door, and the phone beeped, saying that I had a voice mail that had been left two minutes before. I called, expecting it to be some "welcome to your new phone" message from the sprint people, but it wasn't.
It was the DC Metro lost and found saying that someone had turned in my phone and that I could pick it up at the lost and found office, which was two blocks away from where I was standing. I turned right back around, returned the new phone and went to get the old one.
Then, as if they read my journal, the temp people called me with a 60 day position. Since it's with a mortgage company I have to get a credit check and a drug test, but the job is probably mine. Good thing I didn't follow through with my determination to have a little mind-altering fun when I got out of the army.
